Insurrection Progress Report #4
A new build is available for download. The changes this time aren’t anything major - but performance and stability have been improved, allowing the main campaign levels to be played almost entirely without a hitch, given your system can handle it.
A minor addition to the game is viewmodel lagging - at high speeds and generally while moving around, your weapon will take a moment to catch up to your viewing position. In my eyes, this makes the game feel more fluid and smooth, while giving you/your character more presence in the scene.
Level 4/Mass Production has had part of the level (specifically the parking lot battle) overhauled in favor of a more factory-esque production line area to give it more of a factory feel - this area still needs more polish and fixing of issues such as enemies being hard to find in the first arena or being able to shoot “inactive” units in the cells on the production lines in said arena.
The Headhunter’s projectiles will see a massive increase in bullet velocity but are prone to gaps in collision detection, making it seem as though your shots are “missing” even if you were dead on target - for now, it’s recommended you fire this weapon in or coming out of slow motion. Expect a patch this weekend or on Monday.
That’s all for now.
